kWell okay Jayne so he left a scar across your heart
Okay so he never said goodbye
He left you asleep with no blanket on your feet
Gone like a thief in the night
The letter he left was a poor second best
To having him there by your side
You feel empty and dry
There’s a hole in your life
And your bed seems a hundred feet wide
Come on Jayne, don’t hide your self away
Jayne Come on Jayne
Well okay Jayne so you’re not feeling too good
Okay so you’re hurting inside
But there’s a life to live, there’s battles to be won
And we’ll come along for the ride
Something’s change so you turn another page
So dry all those tears from your eyes
The pain that you feel now must turn on its heel
So put on your wings and let’s fly
Come on Jayne, don’t hide your self away
Jayne Come on Jayne
Hang all your tears on hooks in the sky
Soft winds shall blow they’ll soon be dry
So come on Jayne Come on Jayne Come on Jayne
Come on Jayne, don’t hide your self away
Jayne Come on Jayne
The first official outing of the "what would be" Steve Rothery Band. Riccardo Romano was missing with his keyboard wizardry and no singer at all (later Martin Jakubsky of Stillmarillion). Marillion's catalogue was represented by excerpts of instrumental sections where Steve had his solo spot. This is a milestone in the forming of a great band that later became the spokesman of early Marillion era and of course of Steve's solo material. If you want to hear how it all started you have to get this Alessandro Carmassi

Just find it so uplifting and really soundtracks my place in life at the moment. Strength of the songs was only magnified seeing them played live at Shiiine On Weekender in 2021. niggle66
