These songs were written in 2016 after the last Immaculate Fools tour of Spain, sadly they were never taken into the studio but the rehearsals were recorded and several years later were played to Amanda Jayne Clark who felt inspired by the live performances and wrote and performed all the songs in 2020.We feel the essence of these songs and the performances deserve to be out there and we hope you enjoy them in the spirit they were performed.
lyrics
MARTIAN
We’re facing mass extinction,
no courage of conviction’s here – just fear
They’re blaming all the people,
Saying too many people near - well it’s clear
Their bull is all around us
These fools are trying to drown us
Why – why do they try?
Come back Major Tom It’s all going wrong down here
We’ve all lost your song Black Star’s come undone
We’re feeling too much pain now,
No dancing in the rain now – hate pure hate
They’re holding all the aces,
Constricting all our spaces,
Wait – why do we wait?
Come back Major Tom It’s all going wrong down here
We’ve all lost your song Black Star’s come undone
We’re all wrong, we’re all wrong, we’re all wrong
Come back Major Tom It’s all going wrong down here
We’ve all lost your song Black Star’s come undone down here
We’ve come undone we’ve come undone
We’re facing mass extinction,
No courage of conviction’s here – just fear
They’re blaming all us people,
Saying too many people near – well it’s clear
Their bull is all around us
These fools are trying to drown us
Why - why do they try?
Come back Major Tom It’s all going wrong
We’ve all lost your song - Black Star’s come undone.
